Our playground mulch is made specifically for use on playgrounds and is not a byproduct. We use only virgin shredded softwood (hardwood can splinter) to produce a clean, long-lasting, soft impact reducing cushion. It is uniformly shredded and is made with no recycled products so that there is no danger of finding nails, scraps of metal, toxic chemicals or other contaminants in the mulch. Our mulch is aesthetically pleasing, durable, and environmentally safe. It has excellent drainage and eliminates problems caused by rain and puddles. The minimum recommended depth for playground mulch installation is 6-12 inches depending on the type of playground equipment.
